VnetPC PRO+ is a ventilation network simulator originally developed by Dr. Malcolm J. McPherson. It is designed to assist personnel in the planning of underground ventilation layouts. As the most user-friendly, economic choice in the industry for ventilation planners and mining companies, VnetPC continues to be the most widely used ventilation simulation software on the market.

Given data that describes the geometry of the mine network, airway resistance or dimensions, and the location and characteristic curves of fans, the program will provide detailed listings and graphical representations of:

• Branch Airflows
• Frictional Pressure Drops
• Airway Resistance
• Air Power Losses in Airways.
• Ventilation Cost of Each Airway.
• Fan Operating Points (Pressures and Airflows)
• Duties of Required Regulators and Booster Fans

Key Features 

• The new software is 32-bit and 64-bit compatible format. It is now designed to operate under Windows 7 and earlier operating systems.
• Data is now saved to a database as the information is entered instead of the previous ASCII format. The database format allows data to be saved as changes to the model are made.
• The Schematic View is fully interactive with the mouse, allowing the user to develop and manipulate networks entirely from this view. VnetPC still incorporates tabular views, which remain as integrated and important components of the software. Tabular views facilitate rapid data entry, and allow the user to copy and paste data between Windows applications.
• Branch Templates - VnetPC Pro+ has a new feature that allows users to apply an existing defined branch to create a template.  The created templates than can be used to quickly modify other branches by applying the template to user selected branches rather than manually entering data into each branch individually. 
• Importing Fan Curves from DuctSIM- VnetPC PRO+ allows users to import fan curves created in the DuctSIM program into fan curve file manager.  This allows users to directly use fan curves from DuctSIM in VnetPC ventilation models and are not required to re-enter the data points. 
• New tools have been added to VnetPC Pro+ and can be accessed through various on-screen displayed toolbars.  Additionally, existing branch parameters and tools can now be easily chosen from quick select toolbars displayed at the on-screen. 
• A new feature in VnetPC Pro+ is the Shock Loss Calculator which enables the user to implement a shock loss into any branch in the ventilation model.  Incorporated in VnetPC Pro+ is reference material to help the user select a shock loss factor to be used in the calculation.
• DXF import allows networks to be developed as Lines, Polylines, and Text, and to be imported into VnetPC as levels/groups of data, or as an entire mine. Now import mines with units up to 1x109 on a side -- never have to rescale large complexes. This import feature is valid for any DXF file, whether from AutoCAD™ or another mine planning software such as Vulcan™, Mincom
